We are a Verse-By-Verse Church!

At Faith, you’ll find a church family that treasures doctrinal depth and heartfelt devotion to Christ.

Biblical Preaching – Verse-by-verse, Christ-exalting, expository preaching that is grounded in the sufficiency of Scripture.

Christ-Centered Worship – Songs rich in biblical truth that lift our hearts to Christ and encourage lives of holiness.

Word & Spirit - We depend on the Holy Spirit to work through God’s Word, as He brings conviction, growth, and obedience in the life of the church.

A Comfortable Setting – Some dress up, some don’t. We care far more about a person’s heart being shaped by the Gospel than outward appearance.

Core Teachings

The Holy Scriptures

The Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, given by divine inspiration and preserved by His providence. They are the final authority for faith and practice, fully sufficient for salvation, doctrine, and the Christian life. In them, God reveals His will for His glory and for our good. We affirm that every word of Scripture is inspired by God, inerrant in the original writings, and trustworthy in all it teaches. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21)

One True God

There is one true and living God, eternal, self-existent, and unchanging. He is infinite in being and perfection. He is the Creator of all things and worthy of all worship. This one God exists eternally in three distinct persons: The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit, all equal in essence, power, and glory. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10-11; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22)

The Person and Work Christ

The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and perfectly fulfilled the law of God. By His substitutionary death on the cross, He made full atonement for sin. He rose bodily from the grave, ascended into heaven, and now reigns at the right hand of the Father as our Prophet, Priest, and King. (Luke 1:31-35; Hebrews 7:26; Acts 2:22; 1 Corinthians 15:3; Matthew 28:6; Acts 1:9; Philippians 2:9-11; John 1:1-4)

The Fall of Man

Man was created by God in His image, righteous and upright, and for the purpose of glorifying God and enjoying fellowship with Him. Through Adam’s disobedience, sin entered the world, bringing guilt, corruption, and death upon all mankind. As a result of the Fall, every person is born spiritually dead, separated from God, and unable to please Him apart from His saving grace. (Genesis 1:26-27; Genesis 1:26; 2:17; Genesis 3:6; Romans 5:12-19; Isaiah 43:7)

Salvation by Grace Alone

Salvation is entirely the work of God’s grace, accomplished through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. Sinners are justified by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, according to Scripture alone, and for the glory of God alone. We are not saved by works, but our works are evidence of our salvation. True saving faith is accompanied by repentance, resulting in a transformed life marked by obedience and perseverance. (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:3; John 14:6; John 15:5; Titus 2:11; Romans 8:16; Galatians 5:22-23; Ephesians 4:24)

The Ordinances

Christ has given two ordinances to His church: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism is for those who repent of their sins and profess in Jesus Christ, signifying their union with Him in His death and resurrection. The Lord’s Supper is a means by which believers remember Christ’s sacrifice, proclaim His death, and partake together in a visible expression of our fellowship in Him. (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16; 2 Peter 1:4; 1 Corinthians 11:26)

Sanctification

Those whom God saves, He also sanctifies. Sanctification is the gracious work of God by which believers are progressively conformed to the image of Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit, as they grow in obedience to God’s Word. While believers are fully justified in Christ, they continue to battle sin and are called to pursue holiness throughout their lives. (Romans 12:1-2; Hebrews 12:14; 1 Peter 1:15-16; Romans 6:1-14; 1 Peter 1:5)

The Return of Christ

Jesus Christ will return bodily, visibly, and gloriously to judge the living and the dead. On that day, He will consummate His kingdom, raise the dead, and bring final justice and restoration. This promised return is the blessed hope of the church and calls believers to faithfulness, perseverance, and joyful expectation. (Matthew 24:30; 2 Timothy 4:1; Revelation 20:11-15)
